Cambridge Oktoberfest / A lot of places were selling Blue Moon,
That is just so wrong on so many different levels!
    It's very quenching.
My quarrel wasn't about the quality or the style of the beverage so
much as the fact that a mega corp was holding itself out to be a

They all do that. Sometimes it's by buying out (often
starting off, as A-B did with Red Hook, with a marketing
and distribution agreement), sometimes it's making a
fictitous back story out of whole cloth. I was familiarized
with Blue Moon (which wouldn't have enticed me under normal
circumstances) on a hot day at the Coors factory - it was the best
thing on tap there, the alternatives being Coors and Coors Light.
I was hoping for one of the short run specialty products or at
least Extra Gold, but beggars et cetera.

small craft brewer and mislabeling their product (as Belgian as
opposed to Belgian Style) until forced to desist with a lawsuit

I'd have thought with their banks of corporate
lawyers that they might have been able to prevail
on a variation of the French fry defense.

and their offerings of pumpkin spice, peanut butter and other silly
    brews.

Well. I'd not heard of these but would be amused rather
than outraged by them. Wouldn't be inclined to drink
    them, though.

    Title: Delmonico
    3/4 fl Gin
    1/2 fl Dry vermouth
    1/2 fl Sweet vermouth
    1/2 fl Brandy
As I'm a brandy person, I might like this, but I'm not sure
about the marriage between those two primary spirits.
Quite frankly, neither am I. I haven't attempted this combination
    yet.

It's something that one can experiment with in
smaller quantities than 3/4 oz. My Gedanken still
    says "yuck."

    Lemongrass martini
    2 oz Absolut Kurant
    1 oz Cointreau
    1 oz lemon juice
    garnished with lemongrass stalk.
It might taste wonderful but as she has made substitutions not only
of the traditional garnish but both of (all of) the two primary
ingredients, it really shouldn't be called a martini just because of
the shape of the glass it's served in.

Lots of things shouldn't be called martinis.

    Another lemongrass flavoured cocktail ...
    Title: Zen Press
1 Inch of cucumber, peeled and
    Cut into 1/4 inch rounds
    3/4 Shot lemongrass syrup
    1 Shot Hendrick's Gin
    Ice
    Sprite
    Seltzer

Interesting but not my style. Muddled cucumber
strikes me as a bit twee.

As promised, the unveiling of the divinely delish drink sampled
the other night at, shock and horror, the chain restaurant, P.F.
Chang's. The cocktail is called Zen Press and is a gin drink made

Rule 3314 - anything that is described as divinely delish
    isn't.
