Richard does the "normal" ones... and gets what's available at BJ's
when he needs to replace wornout ones...

Our only "wholesale" club store here is Sams. And since I DO NOT do
any business with Wal-Mart as a matter of principle ......

We don't shop Walmart or Sams, either...

However, K-Mart (while it lasts), Kohls, etc. all have sox at decent
price points. Also Amazon et al.

Don't do Amazon et al either... at least not for clothes... and as neither of us enjoy shopping, our when-necessary-shopping is pretty streamlined now... ;)

Socks are pretty cut-and-dried so I feel "safe" ordering on-line. Also, "novelty" (like some of the half-witty sayings I see worn) T-shirts.
Dress shirts, pants, shoes, suits, etc. are like meat and produce - I
want to look and feel myself.

I used that tag-line on an e-mail to a guy I know who runs a local Porta
Potty company called Portable Sanitation Systems. His trucks that haul
the little Chick Sales units back and forth and his tanker truck, which
he has labelled (in its other signage) "PSS Sewage Sucking Service"
after the denizens of the Red Green Show from PBS, all have that tagline
    on their doors/tanks.

I enjoyed that show - I even, during one of the periodic "beg week" fund
drives for my nearby PBS station, selected a set of Red Green galluses
    for my "Thank You" gift.

Although I wore them often after converting the snap clips to button
on style attachments - I never got a comment about one side being red
and the other green. But, wear odd socks ....... That's why all black
    socks is very safe. Bv)=

Title: Scribble Turkey Stuffed Green Peppers
Categories: Poultry, Rice, Chilies, Cheese, Vegetables
    Yield: 4 Servings

    4 lg Green peppers
    1 lb Ground turkey
    1 md Red onion; chopped
    3 cl Garlic; chopped
    2 ts Vegetable flavour "Better
    - Than Bullion"
    1 ts Ground pepper
    1 ts Red pepper flakes
    1 c Cooked rice
14 1/2 oz Can diced fire roasted
    - tomatoes
    1/2 c Dairy sour cream
    1/2 c Shredded cheese
    1 Green onion; sliced
    1 c Hot water

Peppers without marnina sauce. I made these last night
by altering and combining a few recipes. Dan and I
really enjoyed it and I was pleased and proud by how
well it came out - so I'm posting this here for others
to try. Hope you enjoy. - Jill

    Set oven to 350°F/175°C.

Start by cutting the peppers in half lengthwise, leaving
the stems intact, and halving them also. Remove the seeds
    and ribs inside the peppers.

Using a hot skillet, saute the ground turkey, onion,
garlic, 1 teaspoon of the 'better than bullion', black
pepper and red pepper flakes. Saute until onions become
    translucent.

Add the rice, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and green
    onion tops.

Mix well and stuff the mixture into the peppers.

In a small bowl, mix the hot water and the remaining
"Better Than Bullion". Pour this mixture into a shallow
casserole large enough to hold all of the peppers. Place
the stuffed peppers in the dish, cover with foil and bake
    for 25 to 35 minutes.

Remove the foil and spoon the juice from bottom of the
casserole over the top of the peppers. Bake for an
    additional 10 to 15 minutes.

I leave all that ordering/shopping to Richard... it's his clothes, he
can get what and how he pleases... anything I might be getting for him
    is definitely with his input...

It does seem appropriate, if a bit macabre.... :)
