From the websites I've looked at for Andorra, and Monaco that's all the
    tour
companies offer. Single day, or half day, tours. Liechtenstein and
    Luxembourg
could be 2 days each. I'll probably involve Amy later, the tickets
    could be
complicated (worse than the other trip). This time the trip is more
    important
than the destination to me. I've seen lots of casinos/old churches/old

And they don't usually stamp your passport any
    more, worse luck.

buildings. Although I'd like to re-do parts of the Louvre and make another dash through Musee d'Orsay. As it is, I've sorta shelved the whole
    trip, along

Orsay is worth half a day, though that might
be enough to etch the interesting stuff into
an art enthusiast's mind - I remember pretty
much what I saw there almost twenty years ago.

with any other out of the country. I will admit to looking at hotels in Andorra today so it's really only sorta.

Your well-being is most important. In the bigger
cities, you should be as well off as in the US
(probably better off than in Anchorage), plus
the price is right. When she was mashed by an
automatic door in de Gaulle, they fixed her up
speedily and the price was right (free); but the
remoter places you mention might not have the
most efficient or effective medical practices.

I'd like to try some of that Sauvignon Blanc that I had last time,
    to help
I emailed Jacquie and all she said, in effect, was "Oh that was just some...that comes from...". Of course their idea of what's ordinary
    wine and
my idea vary somewhat, I'm still drinking stuff with an Anime label.

Definitely Coteaux de Glanes, available as I
recall only locally and possibly just at the
winery. It was okay. For a Sauvignon Blanc.

She can go through a bottle a day, less a glass
for me, so no problem there. But it has to be red.
Urk...that could be a problem...right now I'm trying to find the substitute

In which case she'll have to buy her own. Not
that big of a deal, especially if one can get
    her to the local Costco.

    white wine.

You might cast about for free or cheap tastings
    at the local boozer places.

    Chicken Fricassee
    categories: KfP, poultry, main
    servings: 4
    Serves 4

    1/4 c potato starch
    1/2 ts pepper
    2 ts oil
1 lg chicken, skinned and cut up
    1 lg onion, diced
    2 garlic cloves, diced
2 stalks celery, diced, or to taste
    2 ts dried parsley flakes
    1 ts paprika
    1 1/2 c dry or semi-dry white wine

Put the potato starch in a plastic bag with the pepper.
Place the chicken pieces in the bag and shake well to
coat lightly. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and
brown the chicken. Remove the chicken from the pan and
saute the onion, garlic, and celery until they are soft.
Sprinkle the parsley and paprika over the vegetables and
mix in. Pour in the wine and return the chicken to the
pan. Cover and simmer until the chicken is fork-tender,
    about 1 1/4 hr.
