kind of market. I don't recall the label as you
describe it, though Swisher had dragged me to
the Green Apple or Red Apple or something, which
had an extensive variety of canned goods including
fishes and corned mutton and similar deliosities.

But this isn't fish, it's eel... ;) ok, quibbling... ;) The can
itself is primarily red and gold, and the picture of the Old Fisherman
is rather small and tucked into a corner of the flat side of the can,

An eel is a fish, although it may look more like a snake. Sometime let
me tell you off line why Dave Sacerdote cannot stand eels.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

    Title: Wes's Spaghetti Sauce
    Categories: Sauce, Italian, Pasta
    Yield: 1 servings

    1 cn Hunt's Light Spaghetti
    Sauce*
    1 Onion
    4 Clove garlic
    1 Bell pepper
    2 Rib celery
    4 Black olives
    Olive oil
    1 lb Ground turkey

    * (this is good stuff -- worth
exploring as a base for your sauces, especially if you don't feel like
fussing with a from-scratch recipe). We like it because it contains
    no fat, no added sugar.

Sauteed an onion, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 chopped green bell pepper, and
2 ribs of celery in a little olive oil. When that was soft, he added
a pound of ground turkey. When the turkey was browned, he added the
sauce, and simmered for about 30 minutes.
He also cut up 4-5 black olives and tossed 'em into the sauce

Personally, I would have added a little dried oregano, maybe some
basil to the mixture, maybe some sliced mushrooms (we didn't have
any) but I can't complain. It was good, filling, and wonderful to
come home to when I dragged in from work at about 1 ayem.

This amount makes 4 VERY generous servings (we'll have the leftovers
    as snacks).

Wes sez to tell you he made your watermelon pie, too. Haven't tried
it yet (after the pasta, I was STUFFED). But it looks good, and I
plan on enjoying a slice tonight before bed.

Yes, I know.... which is why I admitted to quibbling... I like it well
enough to put it in its own category.... (G)

You may have already, but you can tell me again sometime.... I'm sure
there'll be another visit, possibly even before another picnic... ;)
