It rained consistently from home to Williamsport for me. A nine and a
    half
hour trip in the rain. Then it rained all week. Caught a partial break

Should have gone to the picnic, where there was plenty
of rain, but there was warm conversation and a wood stove.

Friday by the time I'd hit just south of Roanoke but Saturday night,
    the rain
started again and it's still raining. It hasn't stopped for two days straight.

It is that time of year. Sadly, I hear that we're likely
to experience a chicken and pig shortage this fall.

I am hoping that next year around picnic time, a bird won't decide to fly into a 15kV transformer, blow a phase out, and cause us to replace all the main switchgear in one of our local factories. That's why I couldn't go. Who knows what next year may bring?

It is that time of year. Sadly, I hear that we're likely

That will be most unfortunate for the holiday season.

    Later,
