One would have, and if I'd ordered a
wheelchair ahead of time they no doubt
would have. But playing by the rules is
    important to these corporate people,
and observation and initiative are not.
    A sad situation....

Predictable mediocrity. The word was always
that the Asian service providers didn't
adhere to these rules, but now in the days
of the almighty accounting department and
lawyer's offices, they're falling more and
    more into line.

More the bad design of the airport and the
obliviousness (more than recalcitrance) of the
pedestrians than the fault of the cart driver.
I've noted that obliviousness myself on occasion...

I too have been guilty of not noticing,
I admit. The electric carts being mostly
silent doesn't help, either. The drivers
used to have little bicycle bells or bulb
horns, but it appears these have been
forbidden, so the drivers are reduced to
calling out "beep beep" or "coming through"
    as they negotiate the crowds.

I certainly take into consideration what my body might be trying to tell me... and my doctors do expect me to be paying attention... not so sure
I trust my body... other than to be weird and to try to compensate... ;)
Trying to compensate is normal. Come to
think of it, being weird may be also.
I've been told by med professionals that my body compensates much more
than is customary... but is apparently normal for me... ;)

And which may or may not be advantageous,
depending on the situation and how far you
are from expert assistance at the time.

I think they might own our local TOPS markets... that chain came out of Buffalo originally... but the signage is still TOPS... ;)
Tops is someone else, though it may have been
a participant in grocery store ownership
    ping-pong as so many have.
I know it is owned by some other company now... but not sure who...

I looked it up. Morgan Stanley held it
but (according to the Wiki article, which
I presume accurate as of the time written
but probably is outdated) sold it to Tops
    management, making it independentish once
again. But the current owners of Tops are
    bankrupt, so ... .

    Blueberry buckle
    categories: New England, sweet
    yield: 1

    3/4 c white sugar
    1/4 c shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c milk
    2 c all-purpose flour
    2 ts baking powder
    1/2 ts salt
    2 c fresh blueberries
    1/2 c white sugar
    1/3 c all-purpose flour
    1/2 ts ground cinnamon
    1/4 c butter, softened

Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Grease an 8x8" pan.

Cream together 3/4 c sugar, shortening, and egg.

In a separate bowl mix 2 c flour, baking powder,
and salt. Stir into sugar mixture, alternating
with milk. Stir in blueberries. Pour into
    greased pan.

    To make topping. Combine 1/2 c sugar, 1/3 c
flour, cinnamon, and butter. Sprinkle over
cake batter. Bake 25 to 30 min.

A herald trumpet seems to be called for, but I'm sure that is also forbidden.... ;)

There might be more to the more recent story... but I've not really been keeping up... SOW, I found out who bought out Rite-Aid... it was
Walgreens, not CVS.... What I was seeing was CVS wooing the customers... Wegmans had a sign up in store doing similar, we saw on a recent
    visit...
