The faux paradox "you're unique just like everyone
else" is a major stupidity and is based on a lack
of knowledge of grammar anyway. "You're unique,
just as everyone else" might make more sense but
can't be perceived as witty.
We have our similarities, and also our uniquenesses... :)
That's not what the witticism says, though.
It's a very physical profession, requiring both
brute strength and a lot of fine-tuned close
work. No reason why a woman can't do it, but
before her, practitioners were few and far between.
Probably a combination of being discouraged from even trying, and not thinking of it as an option....
More the former, I'd suspect.
There are such professions even today - the one that
comes to immediate mind is surgery.

Doesn't look that odd or bizarre to me... although I'd not be making it
in a bread maker.... And in Ruth-fashion, I'd probably either use mostly
or all whole wheat... I've also never added gluten to any bread I've
made... Never made something quite like this, but could have, given the opportunity and thought... ;)

Well, if you follow the recipe blindly, you're
unimaginative. If you followed it under inapplicable
circumstances, you;d be an idiot.
Zucchini-Tomato Cups with Blue Cheese
categories: odd, starter. dairy, poison
yield: 1 batch
3 sm zucchini, trimmed and sliced crosswise 1/2"
1/4 c crumbled Blue cheese
8 cherry tomatoes, each cut into 3 or 4 slices
1/4 c finely grated Parmesan cheese
Ground black or white pepper
Small fresh basil leaves
Preheat oven to 350F. Scoop out some of the
flesh from the center of each zucchini slice
with a melon baller to create a bowl-shape
shell. Place slices on a baking sheet lined
with foil or parchment paper. Fill each shell
with a crumble of blue cheese. Top with a
tomato slice and a sprinkle of Parmesan
and pepper.
Bake for 5 to 7 min or until cheese melts.
Watch carefully so they do not brown. Garnish
with fresh basil leaves.
