Recipe calls for 4 cups so I'd get about 8 or 10. Extras can
always be used for munching as is, or turned into something
else. Depending on the amount, I could do a peach cobbler as
well. Did one for the first picnic [snip] that thing vanished!
    I can well imagine... :)
The peaches were extra good--got them at just the right time. Any
more ripe and they would have tipped over into rotten but they
    were sweet and juicy.
That's why I think you should choose them... you obviously have the
knack of getting them at just the right ripeness.... ;)

These were good peaches--Dale took us to a no longer in business
store. If you've not bought any by the time we get up there Thursday,
I'll get them--but may have to spend some time trying to find just the right ones. (G)

Probably no more than I would, and probably less time, actually... I
did sorta pass it over to Lydia, but I don't know if she's bought any
    yet....

... Just the other day I... no, wait... that wasn't me.

She got some really good ones. I could have made a cobbler also but we
had so many goodies anyway, I figured better not this year.

She does a lot of baking and preserving, so I'm not surprised she knew
how to pick them... in fact, they finished ripening at her house faster
than she'd expected, so it's a good thing they didn't slip over to
    rotten... ;)

    Maybe another year... :)

They were at just the right stage. The ones we got in PA last year had
gone just past that stage by the time we got home, but not enough to get rotten. Made them a bit harder to work with as they were so juicy. (G)

    Possible, we'll see.
