Exactly, considering how they turned out in force to greet him when he arrived from that historic flight... :)There are a fair number of Lindbergh collectors to this day.Not all that surprising, actually... :)
People are still fascinated with that flight and of course the kidnapping of his son later on.
A bunch are apparently European - no surprise there either.
Brits, French, etc.
Too many people think they need more salt....Otherwise it's just dark bread with too much salt in it.Probably.. :) I suppose one could get lucky and it not be overly salted... maybe.... ;)
Generally not.
Too many people eat too much take-out.
Does your store have it's own in-store bakery...? Ours does, and those breads tend to be less salty and more tasty... :)The store brand here needs more rye if memory serves. That doesn't sound all that promising, then...
It wasn't. Back to the drawing board.
Tend to be, but not always.

The French had their own aviation heroes too, but Lindbergh captured
all sorts of headlines.

That too. Or both.

Too expensive to even try their offerings, eh...? No Whole Foods

Yep. The technology wasn't really there yet.

Not if you have a Wegman's; Whole Foods is organic and so overpriced
only the 1% can actually afford the place.
It could have gone the other way very easily. As I remember, he was the first to do the overseas flight solo...

He pushed the limits... and got himself a reputation... :)

And Wegmans does have a lot of organic offerings, and isn't all that overpriced... in fact, usually quite reasonable for the offerings... ;)

(sigh) Trader Joe's is more reasonable than Whole Paycheck, but it's
a major hike.

But thankfully, he did survive the trip, and made history... :)

We finally have a Trader Joe's somewhat locally, but it's across town,
in Pittsford, so not on my usual paths... :) So I've still not been to check it out... been in TJ stores elsewhere, though....

somewhat close and it might not be a bad idea.

Do you have particular things you generally get there as opposed to
other places...? I know my niece likes to get snacky stuff there...

Coffee filters. Dried peppered mango, dried cranberries, ginger
snaps. I'm often not going directly home, so I don't buy much refrigerated stuff and no frozen. They have good chocolate too.

I think I've had their peppered mango, from when my niece was in town...
Are their ginger snaps better than other places...? and/or cost less...?

They're not cheap, but not bad. Triple ginger cookies - ginger juice, ginger powder and crystallized ginger.

Those sound good... :) Maybe sometime when I'm in the general area,
I'll think to stop by and finally check them out.... :)
