Sounds almost interesting enough to look for that flavor in the
stores.... ;)
I certainly shall. Just for S&G.
Maybe you could bring it to the picnic....? And, BTW, /are/ you coming
to my picnic this year...? :)
Since this will be the twentieth anniversary of my first picnic (The Alabama Jam at Pat Stockett's) I had thought to do as I did for that
one - just show up.
Ah... Except for things like finding beds for everyone and making reservations for the restaurants, I suppose that would have been pretty much ok... ;) Just showing up for the picnic day, I suppose...
But, we're extremely short-staffed at work .....
and I really don't want to leave Misty to twist slowly in the breezes.
So, as much as I'd like to see Burt and Shirley and meet the
Sean/Shawn SysOp brigade, it's not gonna happen this year.
That's happened before.... sigh... I was hoping you would have been
able to make it this year, especially as you had to cancel out last
time for seeing Fords... and then were never able to make the trip to
make it up.... Turns out that Shawn won't be able to make it either... But Sean's still on... :)
The problem is severe enough at work that upper management has
approved "overtime as necessary". If you know about how retail works
then you'll know that is an extraordinary thing.

I had the thought to return to the motel in Canandaigua that Georgia
and I used for the Fly-Frst at Burt's.
Reservations never entered my mind - mostly because I am usually
a solo act .... and even in a hoity-toity joint can/will/often do
take a seat in/at the bar and eat there.
I still want to try Fu's.

If I had planned better earlier in life I'd be able to be idle in my old(er) age. But, as it is .....
The short staffing comes from a medical emergency that worked into the
#2 in my department being off work for up to two more months, one guy moving out of state when his wife got transferred (she makes 3X what
he pulls down) and LP catching a couple sticky-fingered clerks. Sort
of a "perfect storm" of mischance. With the luck I've had the last few years at planning time off I am somewhat surprised I made it to
Maryland last year.
