One hopes. Or not. Some people react to things as simple as raw vegetables in quantity. You don't generally have the problem of
    course.

My digestion isn't too happy with many raw vegetables.... so I tend to
stay away from a lot of them... Green salads being one of the things
I've avoided, except now at Taste of Japan, where Fu's own made ginger-miso-carrot-etc dressing makes it possible for me to digest the
lettuce and the cucumbers... Cooked veggies are usually a lot less of a
    problem for me... :)

(except I've never heard of Black folk locally eating too many
    avocados, never mind avocado salad.)
Black northeasterners, probably not so much, just because
of the calorie to dollar ratio, but there's a big world
to consider (including the US south), where the fruit are
more easily available and there's the possibility for the
    less affluent to indulge.

I even put the question out on Facebook. The only "yes I eat that" answers came from Caucasians and Spanish of assorted varieties. Go figure. It's probably different when people can grow their own.

It seems to also be different here locally... where various sorts of
avocados are available in the supermarkets, and where people of all
sorts (black, white, spanish, asian, etc) eat all sorts of cuisines...
avocados and guacamole seem to be enjoyed across the board... Wegmans
makes their own guacamole to sell along with their other Mexican entrees
and such... and I've observed all sorts of people gladly buying it,
and/or eating it in the "cafe" area....
