daughter and a family friend), and it was peach-
blueberry. I had a slice; it was pretty good. Next
day I had a second slice - it was still pretty good.
That does sound good... :) I did suggest to Ruth a while back that the combo could be a possibility for her experiments with the yum yums, but she said, no, one or the other.... :)
Sometimes I'm with her regarding purity and
uncomplication of flavors. I wasn't sold on
this particular combo until I tasted it.
When I did it in my mental taster, it seemed pretty decent as a combo... although I'd also like either separately as well... :)

There are combinations that enhance both partners,
and admittedly this is not particularly one of them.
As well, there are combinations that disparage both,
and this isn't one of those either.

They both have some blueberry in them... so I'd think so. :) She was
the one that decided that blueberry made with strawberry jello wasn't as yummy as strawberry made with strawberry jello, hence my
    suggestion... :)
    How about lemon Jell-O?
Not sure... there's other ingredients besides the fruit and the jello,
so they might clash... vs contrast...

    No doubt.

blueberry might do well with peaches.
It might well.. :) That might be an interesting picnic experiment... pairing different fruits with same/similar taste jellos and then with contrasting taste jellos... make little tarts instead of one big dessert...?
That'll be left to someone else who has more
    enthusiasm for Jell-O and tarts.
Maybe Ruth...? ;) Although, I think she's more into the full- (or
half-) size, one at a time mode... ;)

So perhaps we needn't pursue the question. Depends
on how bored we become with the elderly cat.

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.05

    Title: JELLO ROLLS
    Categories: Breads
    Servings: 48

Mary Bowles DNSR31A 1 ts Sugar
    2 c Boiling Water 6 c Flour (about)
2 tb Butter 1 ts Salt
    1/4 c Sugar 1/4 c Lukewarm Water
    2 pk Dry Yeast

    ----------------------------------FILLING----------------------------------
    1 pk Red Jello--dry 1/4 c Butter, melted
    1 c Pecans 3/4 c Sugar

    -----------------------------------GLAZE-----------------------------------
    1 c Powdered Sugar 1 1/2 ts Milk

Mix boiling water, butter, 1/4 cup sugar, salt. Cool to lukewarm. Put
yeast in lukewarm water. Add 1 tsp. sugar. Mix with cooled butter
    mixture.
Mix half of flour, 1 cup at a time, in electric mixer. Blend well. By
    hand,
stir in enough remaining flour to make dough. Knead into a smooth ball.
Cover and let rise until double in bulk. (May refrigerate overnight at
    this
point if you want these for breakfast). Roll dough 1/8 inch thick. Cover
with melted butter. Mix jello and sugar and sprinkle over. Sprinkle nuts
on top. Roll up as for jelly roll. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and place on
    well buttered pan, well apart.
Let rise until double, about 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees for 20
    minutes.
Mix glaze and drizzle over hot rolls.

Ruth says she doesn't think so... ;) It's mostly dairy and sugar, and a
    graham cracker crust....

blueberry might do well with peaches.
