Four women aged 11,13,19, and 41 have invaded our house ...
strange foods [...] watermelon flavoured malt liquor
Like Mike's hard lemopnade, it's a fermented malt beverage but it's
not beer and it turned out to be fairly tasty. Because of our
strange alcohol laws alcohol made from de-flavourized fermented malt
is taxed less than diluted spirits or wine in a cooler of the same
proof. Boxer tastes like watermelon juice and soda with a small tot
    of vodka in it.

Still not that charming, unless the watermelons
you get are less like cucumber than the ones I've
    had lately.

    low proof blue liquor
Was the blue stuff Hpnotiq, Kinky, or Curacao?
It was Hypnotiq which admittedly tasty but over priced by a factor
of two because of an obnoxious but very sucessful marketing campagn
    aimed at young women.

The stuff in my recollection isn't terrible,
    it's just not very good.

I wasn't familiar with Kinky until I googled it; it sounds even
    worse.

From my report on the '14 echo picnic:

As the Drumster was not able to attend in person,
I took it on myself to provide the nasty technicolor
alcohol of the picnic in the form of a nip of Kinky
Blue berry liqueur - this was neither particularly
kinky nor particularly berry, though it was blue
enough. Tasted sort of like acidy alcoholic Jell-O,
insignificant, but the nip cost less than a buck.

1 oz each vodka and gin with 1 tsp each Chartreuse and lemon
juice. Now I just need o name my creation.
Green pastures, Gin lane, Bitter monk?
My first choice Verdant Garden is already taken.

    That never stopped anyone.

    Primrose Path II
    categories: booze
    servings: 1

    30 ml Moores Dry Gin
30 ml Mr Black Coffee Amaro
    30 ml Campari
A piece of pink grapefruit zest
    A grapefruit wedge

Squeeze grapefruit zest over the top of mixing
glass, drop in. Squeeze pink grapefruit wedge
into mixing glass, drop in. Build all remaining
ingredients into the mixing glass. Fill halfway
with ice and stir. Pour all ingredients into
coupe. Garnish: A spring of mint leaves or
    citrus leaves.

Even Roslind, the purist, found it palatable.
How can a purist like advokaat?
She is a self proclaimed Snowball purist ... "sparkling lemonade,
not 7-UP, extra lemon uice, freshly squeezed real lemon juice only."

Okay, but that's like being a Primrose path purist.

Big Rock Kristallweizen. I am not usually fond of wheat beers but
I don't care for wheat beers
One six pack per summer is enough. (And a two ounce shot glass of
Boxer per summer is also enough!)

    I take your word!

Time for a real drink, a typical Embury 8-2-1 sour ....

    Title: Embury's Jack Rose
    8 parts Applejack
    2 parts lemon juice
    1 part Grenadine

Seems he wants his drinks shaken, not stirred?

A vegan cried chopping an onion. Now that's taking it too far!

    Why? Vegans have feelings, too.

I just had a watermelon that was less than flavourful. Which led me
to read some articles about the plant growth hormone forchlorfenuron
and its uses and abuses. Actually it was young Charlee who found the
articles first and brought them to my attention.

At least Hypnotiq has a decent vodka base and hints of cognac and
passionfruit. It's quite drinkable, just overpriced and overhyped.

    Another Frangelico dessert:
