From MICHAEL LOO@1:123/140 to NANCY BACKUS on Friday, August 03, 2018 16:10:16
Hmmm.... those don't sound like such great choices, true.... Hope the blood pressure resolves sufficiently for the surgery to be safely
    done....
But her travel schedule os filling up!
    Priorities, you know.
    Yes, I know.... ;)

Living well is better than living long. But it can be
argued that cataract surgery will aid in both endeavors.

Neither. After weathering some hard times, the
flavor continues to this day. The reason for my
dislike is not Paterno's stonewalling in favor of
a child molestor (which people suspected but could
not prove) but his winner-takes-all Vince
    Lombardiish attitude (winning isn't everything,
it's the only thing, that kind of nonsense).
So he's never been so peachy.... ;) Does the confection continue to be tasty....?
Well, shortly after he waa fired by Penn State
and the NCAA stripped the school of most of the
victories won under his coachship (actions I
recall later rescinded), he kicked off.
    Yes, I do remember that...

Hard to miss for anyone who wasn't living under
a rock at the time (though, frankly, there have
been several periods in my life when I'd have been
    happier living under a rock).

As far as the ice cream goes, I seldom had it,
never after his fall from grace.
Other than being named for him, was it other than just a regular peach
    ice cream....?

Pretty much, but as with many of the Berkey
Creamery products, it was somewhat richer than
    most commercial ice cream.

I was moderately sure that that concession
wouldn't kill me, and if it maimed me, I could
be made mostly whole by litigation.
I can almost follow that line of thinking, except for the litigation
part, being very non-litigious... one might even say litigation
    adverse... ;)
Chances are I'd not actually do it unless I
    figured someone deserved the lesson.
In the meantime, I heartily endorse your decision to take over the
decisions when it comes to the docs... :)

We've arrived at a compromise weaning schedule.

... I'm not loafing, I'm doing research on inertia.

    Ertness is much overrated.

Indeed. I'm quite happy to have had the cataracts removed... it did
help with quality of life... Dunno that it'll make much difference as to longevity, except for probably helping to prevent accidents that might
    have jumped out unseen.... ;)

I hear you... and can think of a few in mine as well, likewise... ;)

Ah.. So somewhat like Ben and Jerry's, or Wegmans' premium ice
creams... richer, and with catchy names... ;)

I was moderately sure that that concession

Which you are ok with...? Hopefully it is a fairly quick taper...
