    I was shocked to overhear a Netflix expose
    show Lilli was watching that said that the
    wonderful organic Christopher Ranch was
    outsourcing from China, where its suppliers
    supposedly used convict slave labor
    I read conflicting reports and I am not sure what the truth is.

    It's worth investigating for those of us who
    care, I think, as it's a potentially explosive
    issue in a huge industry. Problem being that
    when our only sources for information are third
    or fourth hand, especially on the Internet, it's
    little better than flying blind.

    Not a bad recipe, but one might suggest sherry
    rather than white wine.

    Log Cabin syrup, which may be part of why I don't care for
    pancakes.
    A different topping might make them more palatable. Real maple syrup
    is of course better than fake but consider honey or jam. I
    particularly like raspberry jam on my pancakes.

    Yesterday we went to Kava's (in spite of efforts
    to the contrary), and a side of a short stack came
    with my CFS platter; the waitress neglected to bring
    the artificial syrup, but rather than calling her
    back I just put a couple teaspoons of sugar on them.
    I wouldn't have missed the thick pernicious stuff.

    3 tb Flour 1 Vanilla ALBA 77
    1/4 ts Salt 1 Egg
    1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 c Warm water

    Mix all ingredients. Makes 4-6 pancakes Exchanges: 1 bread, 1 milk & 1
