if Fords can at least be involved in helping to pick places to visit, whether sightseeing or restaurants... with the locus southeast of Rochester, we may be able to find places between Bloomfield and Newark that would fit the bill nicely... :)
They're pretty wine-oriented, and this trip we
may have a substantial nondrinking contingent.
But if they have any interesting G-rated
    suggestions, that would be great.
Plans are to have lunch with them next Friday... :)

Say hi, and put the strong arm on them. After
all, they're the main reason we're focusing
    again on that far north.

As it seems there will be ample accommodations,
I'm not thinking about it for a while, but I'd
guess that our "overflow" will be at the Hampton.
Not sure where the closest one of those is, I know of the one in
Henrietta... but there may be one in Victor or Canandaigua... But we may
    not need that anyway... :)

Victor, I'm pretty sure - there are plenty of
Hilton properties around there, but the
Hampton in Victor is the one I can afford to
put people up at. Penfield and Henrietta are
better deals, though but apparently farther away.

Looking things up on the map, I notice that
East Bloomfield is due west of Bloomfield.
Maybe the area was settled by Bostonians,
whose sense of direction is kind of off-kitler?

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.04

    Title: Lemon Syllabub
    Categories: Desserts
    Yield: 2 servings

    5 Tb Lemon juice
    1 Tb Lemon rind, grated
    2 Tb Caster sugar
    1 Tb White wine (optional)
225 g Thick Greek yogurt; Or...
    300 ml -Cream

    Serves 2

Very light and fresh, this is a wonderful way of treating yogurt or
cream. Simplicity itself, yet a transformation. Serve it with delicate
biscuits of your choice and it is a feast.

Combine the lemon juice, rind and sugar, and the wine if desired. Chill
the mixture until it is very cold. Strain and beat into the yogurt or
cream until completely amalgamated. Spoon into tall glasses and chill.

Will do... and will at least bring them up-to-date on picnic plans as
they've solidified... and remind them that it's all for their benefit, mostly... (G)

Yeah, they are farther away.... Victor is probably about 15 minutes
away, maybe less, and Henrietta would be more like 25-30 minutes away...
not sure about Penfield, that likely would be a little farther...

No, not really... Bloomfield Village is in the midst of the town of East Bloomfield, and the town of West Bloomfield is to the west of East Bloomfield... she's actually outside the village itself...
