From JIM WELLER@1:123/140 to CAROL SHENKENBERGER on Saturday, June 09, 2018 21:22:00

Quoting Carol Shenkenberger to Jim Weller <=-

    meatloaf (with Chinese flavours) ...
chopped radish leaves and cooked rice

Don just made a new one and it was really good. He drained the
broth off a can of Campbells chicken and rice and added that.

So very soft, flavoured rice then.

I just made another meatloaf. With ground lamb this time, so I went
with Middle Eastern seasonings. The starchy filler was cracked wheat
soaked in an equal amount of boiling hot water to soften it, the
binders, an egg and a dollop of tomato sauce, and the seasonings
minced onion, finely chopped leeks, mint leaves and Za'atar (a blend
of thyme, marjoram and oregano). I was pleased with the outcome.

    Cheers

    Jim

Also regular rice added I think. It was something his Mom did and now and again, he brings on something she did. The canned soups got saltier as best as he can tell so now he drains them.

Sounds good! My Za'atar blends also add sumac and sesame plus cumin but it is aferall a blend. I like the taste of the sesame there and the background of the sumac.

    Yummies!
