Wow, I have a hard time understanding when someone
wants others to fail. Presumable there's the vulture
thing, and he will swoop in and vulch the assets if
    the catastrophe occurs.
That's exactly what it is. He's quite adept at playing people's
feelings as well. He tries to do it to me, but I have training he
is not aware of and as such am normally able to manipulate things
in my favour with the exception of the loan. ;)

Well, I frown on any kind of predatory
    behavior and hope he fails.

A few years ago I rode with the self-styled
"best taxi driver in the world" as featured
I've seen him too! (Not in person)

I didn't care for him that much, as he's very
much the memememelookatme type, but he did keep
us entertained. Packed into that taxi with him
were Lilli and me, a high-ranking official in
the Justice Department and a woman we figured
was his squeeze, and a Greek lady who was a rug
dealer buying Turkish rugs and selling them in
    the US.

on the Travel Channel. We were okay until he
took both hands off the wheel and turned around
    to the back while describing something to us;
also when he started dancing some traditional
Turkish dance in the driver's seat - this being
    in Istanbul, of course.
Laugh, I tend to keep at least one hand on the wheel and look foward
but I also drive in a town with only two roads and a huge real estate
boom going on. In rush hour to get 3 blocks is 25 minutes. I know lots
of alleys and shortcuts, but you have to get to those streets off one of
the two main ones. Lots of fun! ;)

Not sure if that qualifies you for a big mansion
    in heaven, though.

    Bavarian potato soup
Categories: German, main, Thurn u. Taxis, pork
    Serves: 6

    unsalted butter or vegetable oil
2 kg potatoes, peeled and cubed
    4 carrots, cubed
    2 onions, finely chopped
1 leek or celery stalk, trimmed and cubed
    3 garlic cloves, chopped
    3 scallions, chopped
    1 vegetable stock cube, crumbled
    1 1/2 L hot water
    dried marjoram to taste
    sweet paprika to taste
    nutmeg to taste
    salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
    1 bn fresh parsley
    1 bn fresh chives
    2-3 parboiled pork sausages, sliced
    soured cream (optional) to taste

Packed with vegetables and sausages, this
classic Bavarian-style potato soup is more
of a main dish than a starter. In Germany
the sausage of choice would be Regensburg
sausage, a short and stubby parboiled pork
sausage. It can be substituted with other
    boiling sausages made of pork.

Heat the butter or oil in a large pot and
fry the potatoes until they start to crisp
on the edges, stirring often. Add the
carrots, onions, leek, garlic and scallions.
Dilute the stock cube in the hot water and
add it to the pot. Stir to combine.

Season the soup with herbs, spices, salt
and pepper. Bring to the boil; reduce the
heat and cook, covered, for 30 min. Finely
chop the parsley and chives and add to the
soup together with the sliced sausage.
Reheat the soup and adjust the seasoning.
Just before serving, stir in soured cream
    if desired.

    He won't, never does.

    That's good at least.

That's a full load of people for sure!

No just a shack I think. I'll get better at driving while facing
    backwards. ;)
