But we'd only each have had a small bit to taste, the can wasn't all
    that big...
How many servings did the can say, probably 4-6, but for
    me, 8 would make sense.
The can claimed 4 servings... for tasting purposes, 8 would be about right...
For tasting purposes, 50 would be about right.

Some people might like to have more than just a crumb for tasting... :)

I see no point in the lattes, though.... just using the flavor does
    seem silly to me, too...
I figure pumpkin bread is what happens if you have too
many squash around the farm and not enough eggs.
Or have had too many pumpkin pies and custards already that season...
I see them as an either/or.

    Possibly here, too....

Mark brought a few bags of dried fruit that never did get
opened... he may have left one of those with Ruth...
Was it fruit that he'd done at home?
No, it was large-ish bags that apparently had been handed out at a
food giveaway.... maybe he was hoping that someone could give him
some clues how to utilize the fruit, what to do with it....
    Oh - I didn't get that.
He was showing off his accumulation of stuff while you were otherwise occupied... ;)
I did end up otherwise occupied a lot.

    Yup, especially on Sunday... :)

One of the joys of flying under the radar - and of being
wee fushies in a small pond.
    Yup...
I sort of feel guilty at times, because we lack the
growth motive, but if our hosts (Ed, for example) want to
keep going for the long run, they'll want some level of
growth to make satisfaction and perhaps produce revenue.

I do try to encourage new people to join us, but so far only Edith has
even tried, of my friends/family locally....

Stuff I myself don't need, but others may see value.
No need for those in those for me, either....
I won't grow up, I don't wanna view images, videos, and
tweets. Another beauty of this place is how it's
    uncluttered, relatively speaking.
    That, too....
Which is quite important to me, both aesthetically and
    as moderator.

It does make your job a little easier... :)

Ah, smartphones. I had to access my government account
the other day, and there's this multistep identification
process involving a smartphone, and last time I logged
in I used Lilli's phone, which doesn't help me 2600
miles away, and it was slightly irritating to have to
go to a secondary and more lengthy kind of verification.
Smartphone use is considered normal and expected nowadays...
A lot of things are considered normal and expected that
I think will do the species damage in the long run. You
probably agree with that, though our choices of things
no doubt differ to some degree.

Obviously there is some overlap... :)

Richard's run into that, where they want to use a smartphone for
multistep identification, and neither of us has one, he doesn't
even have a simple cell phone....
    My situation exactly.

    I know. :)

zoned out on. The movie was so old and so obscure that
when I looked it up on IMDb there was no trace of it.
Probably just as well... The taunters deserved what they got... whether
or not the kid also deserved to get his in the end...
It was hard to tell if the morality tale punchline was
to be taken at face value or not. No doubt it was put
onto a slasher film in the first place to avoid the
MPAA or Legion of Decency problem.

Possible.... or maybe a little tongue in cheek...?
