Speaking of which, is there a decent hospital in
YK? Lilli is thinking of a far north trip in the
heat of the summer, but decent urgent health care
is a must.

We have a brand new $350M state of the art 300,000 sq ft hospital
with twice the number of staff as the old one. And for the odd
thing that still isn't covered here such as oncology there's fast
(75 minutes) Learjet medevac to Edmonton. (She should probably check
that her insurance covers air ambulance, just in case.)

Peachee Naib / and Roslind became close friends and they
exchanged recipes while Ravi and I drank his scotch.

What was their line of business?

He is a family physician (GP), trained in London, where he developed
a taste for scotch and G&Ts. She didn't work outside the home while
they were here.

None of our Desi friends and acquaintances are recent immigrants
directly from the Indian sub-continent. They are all from England,
Trinidad, Kenya, Mauritius, Calgary and Toronto.

Red Snapper Bloody Mary

I have one additional secret ingredient.

A drop of bitters, perhaps.

It's horseradish actually. Young Charlee was proud and happy to
make Caesars for her mom and step dad when she was quite little. I
told her that she made the second best ones in the country so
naturally she wanted to know who made the very best ones and how. I
told her it was my broker Rod and later on I whispered to her that I
saw him use horseradish. Now she too makes the best ones in the
country!
