ago, I did little of this, relying on actual facts
actually gotten, but it's hard to do as things change
    so rapidly.
I look locally when I'm hunting information on estate or tag sales. Googling the house can give me a big clue about if the sale is going
to be worth the effort or not.

Do mansions or cottages provide better pickings?

the residence is in the same hands, the better the stuff tends to
    be.)
That makes sense and would be what I thought.
It's not 100% reliable, but sometimes if there's been a recent sale
you can still get a virtual tour of the house.

    I wonder what's a video of a cleaned-up realtor-ready
property is going to tell you, though.

By the way, don't believe everything you read, for
example Investopedia, which has its contradiction
within a couple lines in the same article on this
subject, probably owing to insufficient updating.
Can't say I ever looked at it.

    It's not interesting.

    Bird's nest.
    Yep. Snot it is.

Or, yes it's snot. Reminds me of when I heard this
normally buttoned-down Swiss kid guffawing wildly, and
I asked him, what's up, and still uncontrollably laughing
he pointed at a comic (I think Zap Comix, maybe not, but
something of the sort), with the exchange
    - Is that a booger?
    - No, it's snot.

I didn't see what was so funny. The guy is now a shrink.

We could probably already power a lot of the country on
methane, if collecting it were easier.
Hmmm - some bright young millenial ought to get to work on that.
Somebody will no doubt soon. Sewage will have to be
dealt with sometime or other, and making it into
something useful makes more sense than anything else.
I was thinking more of harnessing bean stew, but the garbage pile
    would be highly useful.

Figuring how to harness farts in your general direction
would be quite an interesting problem.

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

    Title: Jim Bodle's Crab Dip
    Categories: Dips, Seafood, Crab
    Yield: 4 Servings

    1/4 c Catsup
    2 tb Prepared horseradish
    1/2 c Crabmeat, flaked, OR
1 cn Crabmeat, flaked, drain well
    -(6 oz.)
    1 c Cream cheese, softened
    3 ts White onion, diced
    1/8 ts Salt

Combine the catsup, and horseradish. Remove any remaining filament from
the crabmeat. Add the crabmeat to the catsup mixture and continue to
blend. Add all other ingredients and blend till smooth. Serve at room
    temperature.

Note: I grow and put up my own horseradish. If you use store bought add a
little at a time until you get the zap you want.

It varies. One of the biggest scores of my life came from a regular
old ranch house on my own street. Another giant score was in a
regular house in the next town over. Some of the mansions are moving
sales and the family took anything good with them. If not, the
    prices are often sky high.

you can still get a virtual tour of the house.

    I wonder what's a video of a cleaned-up realtor-ready

They generally haven't repainted, and the pictures show the place
with some furniture. It tells you what the peoples' taste, if any,
was like and if they had anything nice. An expensive if older couch
bodes well. Ikea **** means RUN the other way.

And that tells you everything you need to know about psychiatrists?

Methane recapture technology could be useful.
