    If Roslind has an R.D.

She has in the past, as well as self educating herself. She's
staying in the 7 to 9 (126 to 162 in your system) range without any
medication and can get away with modest helpings of regular ice
cream most days, depending on what else she's already eaten.

DD> not all Dieticians are "Food Nazis".

I've yet to come across one like that. RDs are licensed and
regulated healthcare professionals, with a minimum of a bachelor's
degree from an accredited university plus an internship at an
approved health facility. It's the so-called nutritionists who are
completely unregulated and not necessarily properly trained; anyone
call themselves one and some are total kooks.

    Cheers

Thank providence I'm not on the spike.

Those who are get used to it. I know a handful.

And you still get the occasional Josephine Mengele as an RN.

I have never come across a single one like that ever.

    Title: Bourbon Acorn Squash
    Categories: American, Diabetic, Vegetables, Alcohol
    Yield: 4 Servings

    1 lg Acorn squash; halved
    Seeds
    Removed
    2 tb Brown sugar
    1 tb Butter
    1/4 c Bourbon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the halved squash, cut
side down, on a cookie sheet and bake for 45 to 60 minutes until a
fork goes easily into the shell. Remove the squash from the oven
and let cool for 20 minutes. Scoop out the squash from the shell
and place it in a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and
beat well with electric beaters. Place the squash in a casserole
dish and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

Try serving this squash with roasted pork.

I've met a few - not many. But ones I have met are a bit memorable for
that reason - they're outside the norms.

Such don't tend to last long is what is, at root, a caring profession.
