Sauteing involves using the hottest pan with which you
are comfortable with and then cranking the burner up a
    bit more.
Hmmm.... not likely to truly be sauteing, then... ;)
Wilting, sweating, stewing; not sauteing except by
a long leap of the imagination.

Ok, I'll try to remember that.... :)

Even though I'm not particularly prone to it, embarrassing
experience with several friends makes me keep it on hand
    pretty much at all times.
usually... clears out whatever might be a problem, and then things are fine... Actually, eating yoghurt is fairly effective for me, should it seem serious enough... :)
Of course, for me, eating yogurt would be more a
cause of the problem rather than a solution.
True... for me it restores bacterial balance, and settles things, but
then I haven't got lactose issues....
When I was in school, it was the new thing, and pushed by
a girlfriend I actually bought a yogurt maker. I found it
sickening then as now. That was before those odious ads
where they filmed 100-year-olds climbing mountains and
milking yaks all under the influence of yogurt. I think it
was Dannon that was responsible for that.

Ads can be so supposedly mystical/enchanting (the idea of fairy dust
sparkling throughout)... wanting you to think their product the cause
for the wonderfulness... ;) If you didn't have the lactose issues, you
might actually enjoy the Brown Cow yogurt we recently bought... whole
milk, and creamtop besides... :) I've not seen any ads for it, but
then, I'm not watching TV, either... :)

Thankfully, this is a fairly reasonably priced place... :)
Yeah, I seem to recall it being even easier on the budget
than Fu or the Korean place.
The Korean place is at the top end of our usual places... and there are
some strategies to not pay too much at Fu's... ;) Coco Garden is one of the easier on the budget places, along with the buffet at Tandoor... :)
Malay food doesn't generally rely on top-end ingredients,
making it a good budget choice.

They do, though, have quality ingredients, so quality isn't
    compromised....

    Interesting mental image.... :)
... We demand clearly defined areas of uncertainty.
"This is your lucky day - poison in other cookie."
    Um....... ok... ;)
Nicholas used to claim he got that fortune once.

I guess anything's possible with fortune cookies... ;)
