we didn't get bacon. Maybe there's some method in ours, too.
Guess they wanted to see if anyone was paying attention.... did they at least have bacon available...?
    At full price.
Some things one could pay full price for... just not stock up at that price... :)

For sure. And that place occasionally does put bacon on
special, and bacon does freeze decently. As noted, bacon
and eggs don't tend to go on special at the same time.

Amortizing the cost in time and effort, you might be
paying dollars an hour just for some convenience. And of
course, that might mean you had time to cook on Sundays.
Only needed when things aren't working properly at home, or I'm on some trip, so not likely to affect anything on a Sunday... ;)
    Excuses, excuses!
    No, just realities... ;)

Excuses often become realities even if they didn't
    start out that way.

Reminds me of my sartorial splendor, of which has been said
Absence of style is a style.
I can see that... similar to my style, perhaps... :)
I do have certain rules, as you seem to. I can't remember
    what they are, though.
Mine are pretty simple... comfort and cotton... ;)

    Breathable fabrics are the nicest.

Generally has HFCS in it nowadays... at least the commercially
    available
    stuff....
Needn't, and anyway that much HFCS probably isn't that
dangerous - you probably get more unreported in the
ingredients lists anyway than you want to know.
Ah, but it's the perception, ya know... ;) The other part of healthier was in the sort of flour they were using....
    I'm guessing ugh.
No, not really... they switched from bromated flours to non-bromated...
some products it was from white flour to white whole wheat, so as to get
more whole grains in, but not in the hot cross buns....

That substitution would make me cross.

These are just get togethers to play through music, not performances, right...? Even still, you'd think there would be a bit more cooperation/consideration....
    No, just hacking through stuff.
As I said, still they could be more considerate.... Guess they just
figure you are good enough to not have to give you any consideration... although that begins to feel like a left-handed compliment... ;0

Word to the wise: dig yourself no more holes.

Do you suppose they'll think twice about having you play with them
    now...?
Fontaine said to call any time. I guess the lack of
unmusicality made up for the lack of competency.
Apparently... and, you did say it was to hack through stuff, so maybe
their standards are just lower than yours....? ;)

Maybe, but maybe there was a conspiracy - the trio people
were supposed to be performing with the other group's other
    violin player next day.

Someone's got to put a stop to the planned obsolescence
    juggernaut. Oh.
    Some of us try. :)
What are we two against so many?
Guess we need to enlist more in the effort... but that takes more
    work....

So I guess the way to game that would be to get the bacon when on sale
and to freeze it for when the eggs go on sale.... Of course that would presuppose your being on hand as that occurs, or your host pating
    attention and doing it.... ;)
