Pretty much every well-meaning idea gets screwed up
    at some point.
    To err is human.
To really screw things up requires a computer.

    Sez U!

You're sounding like Swisher and Ian talking about cores
and processing power and temperatures generated and oh,
I have a two terabyte drive in my shirt pocket.
These days, they may actually have a 2TB drive in their pocket now that there's 16TB drives hitting the market.

These are solid-state (votevver dot minns)?

    And your environment thanks you.
The BBS doesn't need much power. If I was able to run ArcaOS on it,
    I'd put
the BBS on a Raspberry Pi.

Could you do some sort of DOSBox-like simulation?

Thanks. Which reminds me that bras are defined as
    tanks for the mammaries.
Bob Hope (and Benny Hill) would be proud.

Both of whom would have rockets unleashed against
them in the current day and age.

Then they're rushing you. Remember not to hurt yourself
too badly until it's time for workmen's comp.
After the workman's comp claim earlier this year, I'd rather not milk that again. However, since I am now mainly working the lobby and cash register, my overly sensitive fingertips can sigh a collective breath of relief.

All the best. I was being semi-jocular - if you don't
need the comp, it's better to leave it to those who do.
But it's still a comforting fallback, no?

Title: Sausage, Cheese, and Egg Casserole
I'd definitely eat that for breakfast. However, I'd make it the night
before and let it sit in the fridge to get all of the flavors to get
together and reheat a piece in the microwave for a few seconds.

I can't frittata my life away like that.

    Title: Polly's Johnnycakes

Other than using coarse yellow cornmeal, the recipe
    seems okay.

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

    Title: Corn Bread
    Categories: Breads, Penn dutch
    Yield: 1 servings

    1 c Cornmeal, yellow 1 x *or:
    1 c Cornmeal, white 4 T Sugar
1 t Salt 1 ea Egg, well beaten
    1 c Milk, skim 1 c Flour
    4 t Baking powder 2 T Butter, melted

Add the sugar and salt to the cornmeal. Beat the egg well and pour into
    the
milk; stir this mixture into the meal, beating thoroughly. Sift the flour
and baking powder into the meal, add the melted butter and beat hard.
    Pour
the mixture into a greased pan and bake at 400-F until brown. To make a
thin crisp Johnny Cake, use an oblong pan and spread batter thinly. For a
soft loaf, spread batter thickly. Source: Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book -
Fine Old Recipes, Culinary Arts Press, 1936. M's notes: this recipe
appears to want to be read left to right rather than in columns. M would
not use skim milk nor as much salt and sugar as specified.

    Voice of experience. :D

These are solid-state (votevver dot minns)?

That means that there's no moving parts in the drive and it uses flash
memory instead of a moving magnetic disk for storage.

Could you do some sort of DOSBox-like simulation?

No. The Pi uses a different type of processor than your standard PC does
and they're not exactly compatible with each other.

Bob Hope (and Benny Hill) would be proud.
Both of whom would have rockets unleashed against
them in the current day and age.

Indeed. I saw a recent interview with Mel Brooks who opined that he
couldn't make movies in today's environment.

I can't frittata my life away like that.

    Eggsactly.

Speaking of being corny and corn bread, here's a recipe I'd try:

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Hominy Corn Bread
    Categories: Breads, 1941
    Yield: 6 servings

    1 c Hominy
    1 tb Melted shortening
    2 Eggs, well beaten
    1/2 c Corn-meal
    1/2 ts Salt
    1 ts Baking powder
    1 c Milk

Combine hominy, shortening, eggs, and milk. Add corn-meal, salt, and
baking powder. Let stand 5 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon more of milk if
desirable. Pour into well-oiled pan and bake in hot oven (425 F) 35
minutes or until a rich golden brown. 6 servings. Florence Taft

    MMMMM
