That's sort of what I meant, regarding me.
By the time we get home, the brain is usually fried... ;)
Too many drugs ... you've been drug too many places.
    Summat... ;)
You could probably have cut out a thing or two and
    had a satisfyingly eventful day.
As most Sundays are... :) Not really anything that was actually
    cuttable there... ;)
Any reason why everything has to be done on Sunday?
All but dinner was a church-related function... and we traditionally eat
out on Sundays anyway.... easier on me than trying to fix a meal,
especially on Sundays where I'm playing for one of the services... :)

Since you often at least attend both services, that
cuts down on the time available for cooking and stuff.

Good for Edith. I'm not favorably inclined toward
those who don't trade bites, either for aesthetic or
    (bogus) hygienic reasons!
    It's a different culture, I suppose... ;) And I don't think it's really
for either aesthetic or hygenic reasons, just not their style... :)

I'm still and perhaps more unfavorably inclined.

Ah... that's also a way to protect you both... :)
I also have a couple of spamcatch e-mails of my own,
but it's been a while since I've checked any of them.
So hopefully nothing legit ended up there,,, :)

Eh, who cares. I did log into one of them looking for an
e-mail from the guy selling the house and was surprised
to find a couple dozen of them. Ah, well.

A slot for a network card, and beyond that I'm not sure... no USB, anyway... power, printer, speakers, a place to plug in the cord for the house network, not sure what else... You can take a look at it
    sometime... :)
Ah, but it doesn't look promising, and anyway if
you had something that would allow you to connect,
you'd have to install the software and drivers and
    yadda yadda.
    Yup, and that too,,, :)

There may come a time when the benefits outweigh the costs.
    Okay, maybe that's doubtful.

Yeah, the library would be best for online answering.
Which I'm not really into doing....
Depends for me on the pressures of the situation.
I do have other alternatives, anyway... we've used the church's internet (wiring my computer into the network) and Fu's (ditto)... and when I'm
here at the Pond with no service, I can just work at answering messages
into a reply packet to upload when I get home... easier than finding a library around.... :)

Each to his/her own, especially in the style department.

She sounds enthusiastic about the upcoming trip with
Swisher. Just so we don't overtax her system, everything
    should be just fine.
Hope it all goes well... :)
We shall see. It looks pretty bulletproof at
this point, but bullets have a way of sneaking in.
You'll have taken that trip by now...?

Tail end was yesterday, with Lilli now getting my undivided
    attention for a while.

Hum - you're not supposed to get hot cross buns for
the first, what is it, 38 days of Lent.
But aren't you supposed to be able to get them after Easter, then...?
Traditionally no, as they were Good Friday precelebration
food to be finished by Easter (bakeries closing after
baking them for the weekend), and I don't see them as good
enough to seek out out of season, but people are funny.
The ones that Wegmans makes are pretty nice... they used to be even
better, but the recipe got tweaked to make them healthier, I suppose...
it used to have candied fruit in it, now it's just raisins and citrus
peel... the roll itself is still nice, and the frosting cross also...

What's so unhealthy about candied fruit, compared to
    raisins and peel?

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

    Title: Candied Orange Rind Bread
    Categories: Breads, Fruits
    Yield: 10 servings

    4 ea Oranges; md 1 c Water
    1 c Sugar 4 c Unbleached flour
    6 t Baking powder 1/2 t Salt
    1/4 c Butter or regular margarine 1/2 c Sugar
    2 ea Eggs; lg 2 c Milk

Thinly peel the oranges, using a vegetable peeler. Cut the orange rind
into thin slivers. (Reserve the oranges for another use, or eat them and
enjoy.) Combine the orange rind and 1 cup of water in a 2 quart saucepan
and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15
    minutes
or until the rind is tender. Add the 1 cup of sugar and continue
    cooking,
uncovered, until the mixture is syrupy, about 15 minutes. Cool to room
temperature. Meanwhile, sift the flour, baking powder and salt together
    in
a bowl and set aside. Cream the butter and 1/2 cup of sugar together
    until
light and fluffy, using a electric mixer set on medium. Add the eggs and
blend well. Blend in the cooled orange rind mixture. Add the dry
ingredients alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture, beating
    well
after each addition. Pour the batter into 2 greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf
pans. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 50 minutes or until a
cake tester or wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool
    in
the pans for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to finish cooling.
Wrap in aluminum foil and let stand overnight before slicing. This bread
slices better when it has cooled for 24 hours. Source unknown

Exactly. And you could change that "often" to "almost always"... the
exception is usually either sickness or being away... ;)

Generally has HFCS in it nowadays... at least the commercially available stuff....
