    There ought to be, for those, especially children, who
    need it, though.

    Around here, there are free lunches available for kids, practically
    year-round, and for certain school children also free breakfast during
    the school year... I'm sure it's low-income based... There's also free
    or low-cost meals for seniors at some of the senior centers....

    But at some level, the saying is still true, since somebody has to pay
    for providing the lunches and all.... I think the original thought was
    that even things that seem to be free would have a catch, or some sort
    of strings attached.... :)
