(It was Google Hang Outs we used.) We have the daughters and
I'd not even heard of Google Hang Outs until reading this.
Better Hang Outs than hang ups. (G) Did you check it out?
No - never checked it out, and it sounds silly to me.
I'd never heard of it before, either... typical cutesy name...
The notion that I should hang out with or via Google is
almost as repugnant as that I do so with Mark Zuckerberg.

Likewise... closest I'd come is that RJ uses phone via skype to call us
when he's out of the country....

Great, I'm of the older generation now.
I think most of us here are.
But I'm less connected than even most of the people on
this echo. I don't really mind this condition.
I may be less connected than you, or at least differently not that connected... I don't have even a (probably now defunct Facebook) account and don't go web browsing for information... but I do have a cell phone, admittedly.... which is on more often than the Shipp cell phones... ;)
Differently, certainly. One difference is that if you
want to do something that you don't know the precedures
for, you have a guru to consult. If there's such a thing
for me, I just forget about it.

I'd have to want or need to do that sort of thing pretty bad to even
call him in on it, though... :)

Like you, though, I don't really mind this condition... ;)
Seems to be of the same mindset as, say, cooking your
    own food.

There is indeed a similarity... :)

I served beet greens to some guests recently. The good
news is that they didn't die.
And the bad news was that you thought they tasted nasty....? ;)
Oddly, they didn't taste nasty. Not something I'd go
out of my way for, nor nearly so nice as spinach or
basically any of the Chinese brassicaceous greens, but
I ate down all of my (tiny) serving and would have
cleaned the dish out in the interest of minimizing waste,
only it was all gone by the time the time came.

Just as well... :) The guests seem to have liked them well enough,
    then... :)

Essentially, the device threatens to pop out of my
chest, and the only solution to that is have it
removed in a controlled fashion before it decides to
    leave in an uncontrolled fashion.
That is rather obtrusive... and a bit scary besides... when is that
likely to be taken care of...?
If it begins to pop out, I'll visit an ER. If it's
just a gradual noodging out, I'll wait until I visit
the regular cardiologist and see what he says.

And how soon is that cardio visit...?

The danger of course is if it breaches the skin, there's
the likelihood of a heart infection, problematic, and if
it pops out altogether, it'll probably cause a fatality,
    even more problematic.

Indeed... Do take care of it before it gets to that stage.....
