    I wonder if vitamin E works better than, say, something
    like wheat germ oil that has vitamin E.
    i'm not sure but at this point, I'm going to stick with the straigh E
    oil. It's pure enough I don't have to be concerned about rancidity as I might with wheat germ oil.
    Someone gave me a bunch of E pills that they didn't
    have use for, and after one of the ones I took, I
    burped up the characteristic odor of oxidation and
    rancidness. Either E is more prone to decomposition
    than people claim or that batch was contaminated.

    I suspect a little of each... my experience with the capsules has been
    that it will oxidize, generally sooner than later... the little bottles
    of the vitamin E oil seem to age better... at least the oil doesn't
    smell rancid when applied... For many years I've only used the E as a
    topical (mainly for sunburn and the like), and not internally...
