The cal command is an old Unix command. As such Macs might have it and
maybe the contradictorily named Windows subsystem for Linux available
for W10 may well include it.

However, for casual use
http://www.tutorialspoint.com/unix_terminal_online.php might be the best option. I just tried it and it works.

Note that cal assumes the year begins on Jan 1st (hence the proviso
about 1380/81) and by default is for "England and her colonies". The
current alternative version ncal has options for different calendars and countries and Western and Orthodox Easter dates, e.g.

ncal -e 1381

Wow, thanks guys. Some very useful tools there, all added to my bookmarks. =
I am trawling through Chancery Rolls at present, so all dates they quote as= sume the year starts on the 25th March, so the year they quote for dates fr=
om 1st January to 24th March (e.g. 25 January 1381) I put in the form 25 Ja= nuary 1381/2, not 1380/1. Have I got that right?
