Hej Carol!
Lol! Missed you Maurice!
I've been here all along but quieter than is normal for me.
I've been struggling with visual issues. Cataracts so pretty normal.
I've also been dealing with health issues myself over the last year. I find out Wednesday when I will be booked for surgery. Apparently the latest scans have shown an issue with my gall bladder although I think that is the least of my worries. Anyhow the surgeon thinks it should be removed. :-(
I believe once they start removing parts it becomes a slippery slope afterwards, but all things considered I probably should have packed it in at least a year ago when I started to need blood transfusions on roughly a monthly basis. To be honest back then I didn't think I'd make it this far. Whenever someone in-the-know asks how I've managed to survive I always say, "Strong like bull, smart like tractor." :-)
The last blood transfusion was almost two months ago, and since then my blood level has increased with each blood test so I am optimistic about my immediate future.
Come August, I should be able to read the BBS better. As it is, it's
been an increasing trial for the past 18 months.
Wishing you all the best, which I sincerely believe we both deserve. I hope to still be here to hear your good news. I have no plans on quitting.
Het leven is goed,
Maurice
