related anecdote: my binkd and allfix v5 universal were causing each other to hang... i had to switch my binkd to a build built with a different compiler... the only real eWAG was there was some semaphore (memory based) that was conflicting between them... this was on OS/2, though...

Nope -- it was fine, and then just stopped! :-( I gather that's happened to someone else, too.
