Anyone looking forward to the start of the NFL season? The Saints were screwed out of their chance to go to the Superbowl last year because of very poor officiating. Pass interference was very obvious but not called. To answer this travesty the NFL has changed the rules and made receivers untouchable by defenders. Carl Banks, former New York Giant commented during the Jet/Giant preseason game "If these are going to be the new rules they might as well just get rid of the position". The NFL has already turned the game of football into a
"sissy" game. Pretty soon they won't allow tackling at all. Ewwwww don't hurt the QB. Ewwww you tackled me too hard. Ewwww You gave me a concussion. The NFL is
crying about low attendance? Keep adding more stupid rules to the game. And don't forget to let the whole damn team kneel during our national anthem. That really ought to bring in the crowds. So is anyone looking forward to the start to the NFL season?

I haven't watched an NFL game in nearly two years, and will
continue my boycott this year. I don't care about rule changes,
but the kneeling for the national anthem is the dealbreaker for
me. Bunch of disrespectful, entitled, prima donnas who can't just
play a simple game without getting political. Screw all of em.

I have always prefered the college game myself. Looking forward to the
    season starting Labor Day weekend.

Yes, I like to watch some college football, but certainly not a
fanatic about it. I especially like the in-state rivalry games
near the end of the season.

My real sports passion is hockey, and baseball to some extent.

I can't say I enjoy football anymore. Too politcal and too many stops. I am not a fan of all the new rules, and prefered when the QB was fair game.

I get concusions, etc. but the sport has changed so much its become boring.

I am looking forward to the Bears season tho... If they can make a dude retire during pre-season that D is gonna be hellafied... <sarcasm />

    Thanks,
