Still learning my way around the BBS, sent to the wrong person! I apologize!

    No prob.

Little netiquette tip: In your replies, include a portion of the original message (a.k.a., "quoting") so that everyone knows what your responding to, especially if the reply comes a couple days or more later.

    L8R daze!

Good advice. A portion. Not the full text. Unless it's short.

Some people quote the full text of a long message and add a brief reply.
When the first screen is all quoted text, I skip to the next message. No
    time for lazy quoters.

Most BBS people are nice to meet. But you may encounter ill behaved
bullies who think they run some kind of clique. Don't let them bother
you. They're not your boss. There's only one boss on Dovenet. Digital
    Man.

Two of your lines made the first page. You hit it just right.

LOL. That's me with C++ OOP abstractions. Plain C was easier.

    My only experience with C was a program called C- - .

Played with that program a little bit many years ago but forgot how to use it.

My first PC was a C=64, and I got familiar with BASIC.
Played with LEGO for a while.
Read books about ML but I'm not a coder.

Wikipedia says something about C--. Not sure if that's what you mean.

    Read books about ML

    Not sure about ML either.

    I'm not a coder.

It's a menial job but somebody has to do it.

Yes, C-- was a program I found on a CD that Prodigy and nternet service had on it.
After running it I read the Help File and played with it a few days.

I think I ran it on my Windows 3.1 / DOS 5.0 486 computer years ago.

Thanks for mentioning Wikipedia had a C-- page,
I went and read that page and logged back on here to write this Reply.

I tried to learn by disassembly on some programs.

A Commodore 64 maze game i liked playing in the 1980's kept beating me and would quit, after 3 trys.
I disassembled it and found a location in the program with the value 03.
    I changed the 03 to11.
That way I didn't have to Run the program as much when I was trying to see if I could get through the maze.
I could try 11 times before having to typeRUN again.

On a PC game one portion of it showed a cuss word on the screen.
I changed that part of the code to a nicer word.

    Not Rocket Science, just piddeling.
